The word of the day “Compensation”.  More and more sharks circling the Australian carcass claiming compensation.  The last two – lawyers for Indonesian teenagers and the huge fishing ship.
My question is:  if compensation is awarded in the case of the Indonesian youths will it be at Australian rates or Indonesian rates e.g. at Australian rates $1000 would not be a great deal; at Indonesian rates the same amount would make the youths quite wealthy.
So are we going to create a new class of wealthy Indonesian youths living off the Australian taxpayer together with all the other mendicants living off the Australian taxpayer.
