Margaret Thatcher

Margaret Thatcher, once PM of the UK many years ago, has died and the usual flowers, teddy bears, soft toys depositors have swung into action as they did for Princess Diana. Dozens, hundreds – no thousands of tributes laid on the footpath or attached to fences.
Did any one or two or a few people think “this a waste of money. I will give the money to a charity. To a children’s charity or to a street charity”.
No. These tributes were put out from people unknown, to honour a person none of them knew and whom many people in the UK had no time for, and left to die when a little thought could have helped someone living.
I do wonder about the mass hysteria of people.
