Watch and Wait on the next government

What a delicious irony if, as appears likely, Tony Abbott and the Coalition take government in September and they find themselves in much the same situation as the ALP at present.
The poll figures which have been the bane of life for months for the ALP say much the same for Tony Abbott as previously for Julia Gillard, i.e. they are each as unpopular as the other within their own parties.
How will Tony manage to hold himself and his party together if there is dissension in his party such as we have seen in the ALP?
This promises to be very interesting and it couldn’t happen to a better person. Rudd vs Tony and Tony vs Turnbull.
Good luck to you all.

  1. What a fantastic period it is in Australian politics.
I think Rudd can out-think Abbott and will walk all over him. But that may not be enough to sway the swinging voters across to give the ALP an unexpected victory.

Whatever, it will be the least unpopular who wins.

Maybe Malcolm should be given back the baton. After all, Abbott only beat Malc by 1 vote in the Libs last leader squabble.

In the meantime, it’s a smorgasbord for political cartoonists like myself.
