Premier Baird talks about a mandate from the election next March but what exactly will be his mandate?

Will we be given the various points he wants mandated or will we be given a mish-mash of suggestions with no right to say “I agree to this one”, “I agree with that one”, “I don’t want that”.

If we don’t get a choice how can he claim mandate?

Of course if he wins he will claim “we have a mandate” but for which part of the mish mash?

If politicians want to claim specific mandates we should be given a choice to reject or accept specific items. The Coalition seems to favour California as an example – well, I believe that California offers points (referendums) at their elections so that the voters actually know what they are voting for. How about it Australian politicians?
