The main surprise for me in the spat between Alan Jones and Malcolm lately is that I reckoned that Jones would surely advise Malcolm that “if you decide to do anything about the leadership, check it out with me first”

His arrogance is unbelievable as is the fact that with under 20% of the listening audience (in which demographic?), parliamentarians take so much notice of him. Is it because he tells them he is good; that he can make and break them? Repeat anything often enough and people will believe it. We saw a similar case with Obeid for some inexplicable reason able to manage ministers and MPs.

People are so strange – and manageable.
