A Sydney University Precinct

“UTS building heralds rebirth of Broadway” (News SMH 12 June). I suggest that the City Council define the “University Precinct” which is UTS, Notre Dame and Sydney Uni at the end of City Road and Broadway. We have a great public open space in Victoria Park (older inhabitants of the area called it “University Park”), one modern university – UTS, one sandstone example – Sydney University, and legacy buildings – Notre Dame (what is the story of this block?)
How about it City Council – a University Precinct for Sydney, defined and suitably suitably planned, designed and attractive. What an addition to our lovely City.
